George was born in Carlton, Nottinghamshire 06 December 1888 to parents Walter Tivey and Frances Elizabeth Kemp. He served in the first world war and was one of the lucky ones who came home.
George married Florence Perryman in 1923 and had two sons Alan & Dennis.
