This photograph features Gladys Tivey, she was born in Melbourne, Derbyshire in 1895  to Thomas  Tivey and Rose Richardson - she was the fourth of nine children.

She married George Cowley Calow (1895-1978) in Melbourne, Derbyshire, 1921 and the couple had two children - Joyce M Calow 1929-1931 and Marjorie E Calow born 1932.

Gladys died in Melbourne,18th  November 1960 and is buried at Packhorse Road Cemetery - her monumental inscription reads - In loving memory of Gladys Calow, at rest 18th November 1960, aged 65 years, and of her husband, George Cowley Calow, at rest 8th April 1978, aged 82 years;
