Elsie was born in 1922 in Stockport, Manchester and Sydney was born 1923 in Swinton, Manchester. The couple married in 1946 Stockport and have one son Christopher Brian Tivey, born 1948;
Both Sydney and Elsie died in 2000, the couple spent many happy years together in Lytham St Anne's near Blackpool.
