Charles Ascot Tivey of Group 20 was born 8th June 1873 in Wolverhampton, Staffordshire: His father was Francis Tivey, a tailor and not a decorator's Artist as stated on the marriage certificate. Charles was Brought up by his mother he was a young child when his father left his mother to live with a Mary Ann Palmer, they later emigrated to the USA in 1883.
