Hello from Belper,Derbyshire.
I was so very interested in this site,it's fascinating. George Tivey born about 1743 is my ggggg grandfather. My mother was a Heath and was born in Melbourne Derbys, and the line goes back via Tunnicliffe and Calow, and then to Tivey.I only found this site fairly recently, but often revisit it.
Regards, Alison  17 July 2008

Hello there, my great great grandmother was a Tivey from Melbourne, your website has really helped me put the pieces together and all for free - thankyou, Anne Jackson, Southampton 02 August 2008

Hi Jan,

Your site amazes me every time I visit. Noticed slight mistake on will of Alfred John Tivey 1936  you have iOOi should be 100£. (You must sell the 100£ loan certificate....) (Thanks John - I had changed the font which had knocked out the symbols! - Jan)  Regards John Beniston, 09 August 2008

Hi, I think it is a great idea to share information free of charge, this documenting of events must have taken you ages to compile and publish. It is a credit to you, keep up the good work - Keith Kenny, Nottingham 18 August 2008

Good Evening from the USA, loved the content espescially the old photographs in the gallery - Chad, Arizona, USA. 30 August 2008

Been following this site for a while now, lots of interesting items, there is an enormous amount of work and time gone into this website, the other documents page is informative and Jan has sent me some very interesting certificates relating to my family, she has also helped me enormously on the other side of my tree, all free of charge and should pack in her job to become a full-time genealogist!  Matt Richards, Sheffield 5 September 2008

This is a fascinating site, thankyou  for doing all the hard work.   I have some photos which people may find interesting, I will look them out.   My father was Wallace Tivey, who served in the Royal Navy in the second world war.   The hundreds for letters exchanged between him and my mother  (Gwendoline Heath)  are in safe keeping in Derbyshire Records Office, Matlock, Derbyshire.   I still live 4 miles from Melbourne and often pass through. Patricia Ann Blurton-Granger (nee Tivey) 28 September 2008
