 1899 Marriage solemnized at the Parish Church in the Parish of Greenwich in the County of London, Entry No 159; Francis Tivey, aged 20, Bachelor of 6 Selcroft Road, Occupation Corn Porter, Father James Tivey Occupation Dock Labourer; Mary Ann Bailey, aged 19, Spinster of 10 Selcroft Road, Father William Bailey, Occupation Galvanizer; Married in the Parish Church according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Esatblished Church by Banns by me K Armstrong ??? Curate; This Marriage was solemnized between us Francis Tivey and Mary Ann Bailey (both signed) in the Presence of us Walter Brown and Annie Hunter (both signed)

Francis James Tivey was born 24th July 1878 in Greenwich to parents James Henry Tivey and Elizabeth Ann Grace, they had 5 children in total but sadly none survived, Mary died in 1910. Francis remarried in  1912 to Rebecca Willsone  and a further 6 children were born, 4  survived infancy and of those who did  their only son Joseph perished in the second world war.  Francis lived on the High Street in the Poplar district of London he worked on the docks as a labourer.
