The only definite information about Robert is the record of his death. The younger Robert's marriage record shows father Robert Tivey, rigger, but gives no other clue as to his identity.
There may have been other children, but these cannot be identified.

The only record available is that of the marriage, which shows both Robert and Louisa as over 21 and both residing in Stepney at the time. They nay have emigrated shortly after their marriage and there may have been children born outside England. It has not been possible to trace Robert's whereabouts at the time of the 1851 census, he may have been at sea at that time.
