This transcription contains the word for word findings of Lawrence Francis Tivey (O B E ), a Tivey Family Historian.  Lawrence produced the following book in 1973 and produced an updated version which can be found at the Society of Genealogists in London. Remember, ALL the information compiled in this book was taken from Parish Records, GRO records and other sources found at Somerset House, London.  Other research was taken by personally speaking to various members of the Tivey families concerned. THERE WERE NO INTERNET SOURCES USED and all of it was compiled by keeping detailed notes and painstakingly typed by manual typewriter.

The findings of Lawrence, known as Frank, have not been altered in anyway by the Transcribers Michael & Jan Tivey. There will inevitably be typing errors as the piece is difficult to read in parts and we're only human!, so if you do spot a mistake, please contact us and let us know.

 There will be  separate section coming soon that will list the findings of J A Tivey, which will list each group with more detail.
