She was born 1928 in Salford, Lancashire and was the only daughter of Ernest Tivey and Margaret Heathcote. The couple also had a son, John Frederick Tivey 1930-2005.
Clifton was born in British Honduras and met Margaret in the 1940's, they married in Edinburgh and had five children, Ian, Rhys, Carmita, Monique and Yasmin.
Margaret is also known as Auntie Margaret to us!
