 THE TIVEYS OF CAMBRIDGESHIRE

 

There are isolated records, only of marriages, relating to Tiveys in Cambridgeshire in the 17^th and early 18^th centuries. (See note in Group A respelling). Whether the male line died out or whether the family moved from the area is not known, but it is fairly certain that there was no Tiveys in this area by the end of the 18^th century.

8^th September 1663        Henry Tivey married Elizabeth Francis at March

 

22^nd November 1663     George Tyvie married Mary Easton at Elm (both of Emneth)

 

21^st February 1668         Catherine Tivey married Richard Hills at Sutton

 

31^st March 1673             Mary Tivey married John Bower at March

 

12^th October 1682          Henry Tevey married Anne Man at March

 

4^th October 1693            John Tive married Ann Mace at Lem (both of Walsoken)

 

16^th April 1707               John Tivie, widower, married Bridget Wells, widow, at Elm (both of Emneth)

 

9^th September 1723        Elizabeth Tivey married John Rawlinson at Elm

 

19^th April 1724               John Tivy married Mary Setchel at Wisbech

 

8^th March 1738               Martha Tivy married William Barrit at Downham

 

3^rd November 1745         Henry Tivy married Margaret Canham at Downham
